BSides Pittsburgh is now accepting papers, presentations, demonstrations and training proposals for the 7th annual BSides Pittsburgh, the volunteer-run computer security conference. BSidesPGH presenters and trainers will receive a commemorative gift and the utmost respect and gratitude of their peers.

BSidesPGH is looking for presentations and training courses on the following topics:

  • Emerging Threats
  • Incident Response
  • Threat Hunting
  • Malware Analysis
  • Event Monitoring
  • DevOps/SecOps
  • Data Analysis/Visualization

While BSides Pittsburgh 2017 will accept content on ~any~ topic, these were selected as the most desirable according to a Winter 2016 survey of BSides Pittsburgh attendees. Accordingly, presentations that focus on these areas will receive additional consideration.

All presentation proposals must include:

  • an abstract that is two-hundred words or less,
  • the speaker(s) biography, one-hundred words or less,
  • the speakers' contact information such as email, phone or Twitter information.

Presentations are chosen by the BSidesPGH CFP committee and their decision is based on technical merits, relevance and contributions to the state of the art. Special consideration is also given to students and first time presenters. No marketing will be accepted.

To submit an abstract, please send the requested information to BSidesPGH Call for Presentations.

Please note that as an all-volunteer, free event, BSides Pittsburgh does not compensate speakers for travel or pay honorariums.
